Anyone driving to Cornwall will recognise these! Nearly There is a beautiful and unique painting of the iconic Cookworthy Knapp Trees (although we call them the "Nearly There Trees") by Sally Carver. The image is created using glass enamel - glass powder in a paint form applied directly to a glass "canvas". The painting is then fired in a kiln to nearly 700C, sometimes several times, as the enamel layers are built up to create a vitreous glaze. The paiting is then set into a plain white frame and signed by Sally.
"Nearly There" is painted onto a 7cm x 7cm glass square and the frame size is 12.5cm x 12.5cm. The frame comes with a small fold out easel on the back and so can be either hung on the wall or free stands on a shelf or table.
